Technical Designer

This is a full-time, hybrid role with 3 days from the Amsterdam office

Overall Responsibilities
You will support the development and evolution of concept designs across multiple phases of large-scale rollout projects. You'll contribute to schematic design, produce design development and design intent documentation, and support construction-related deliverables across multiple locations. You will participate in prototype reviews and pilot coordination, occasionally providing bidding support and construction follow-up in collaboration with the Project Management team.
Your technical expertise will be critical in translating complex design concepts into clear, standardized, and adaptable drawing packages that maintain design integrity across numerous sites while accommodating site-specific requirements.
Strong 3D visualization capabilities and proficiency in Revit are essential for this role.
Required Skills and Experience
Essential Background:
- Architectural or Interior Design degree
- Proven experience preparing technical drawings for hospitality and/or retail chain projects (large-scale rollout experience is essential)
- Proven experience working on multi-location projects with standardized design packages
- Experience in fast-casual, QSR, or major restaurant/hospitality chains strongly preferred
- Track record of translating conceptual design into construction-ready technical documentation for high-volume rollouts
- High technical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to translate complex design assets into clear, standardized, and adaptable drawing packages
- Experience working & supporting a team of designers
- Experience dealing directly with 3rd party consultants (Lighting Designer, MEP, Structural Engineer)
- Fluent in English (verbal and written); other languages a plus
- Experience working on international projects
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
- Enthusiastic and comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team environment
Technical Qualifications:
- Strong AutoCAD – essential
- Revit experience – highly valued
- Ability to develop technical drawings for design implementations
- Fluent in PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign & Photoshop
- 3D modeling (Rhino, 3DS Max); 3D visualization (Vray, D5) – a plus

- Examples of your technical drawing packages and design development work
- If work was part of a team project, clearly state your role and highlight the specific elements you designed and developed
- Evidence of large-scale or multi-location project experience
- Your ability to translate concepts into clear, production-ready designs
